About Laura and Her Team
Honesty, Integrity and Compassion
Working primarily with widows and women in the midst of divorce, Laura uses her humor, empathy and her keen understanding of both human nature and personal finance to guide women to a better future.
Laura’s caring nature and drive to empower others extends beyond her clients. She is a former foster mother and is currently working with her daughter, Dawn, to create a non-profit organization that will help young adults aging out of the foster care system. She is the President of the Public Library Foundation in her hometown of Greendale.
Laura lives with her daughter, Dawn, and two dogs – a Chihuahua mix (they think) puppy named Sugar and an eight year-old toy poodle named Noodle. From time to time, the household expands to include former foster daughter, Kiesha, and her son, DJ, and others. During quiet times, Laura enjoys reading, playing WWII piano music, and writing.
“The three things that I am most proud of are (in order): my daughters – who have shown strength, dignity, and perseverance on their life journeys; my Master’s degree – because it took me many years of late nights as a single mother to complete it; and my business –because it represents the passion and purpose I discovered half-way through my life – which is to guide women through difficult transitions.” ~ Laura
“That golden dog you see to the right is my baby, Sugar. I rescued her in December of 2012 from a kill shelter and have fallen hopelessly in love. I know that I will be a lifelong vegetarian because animal rights are so important to me. I am in college part-time working towards a degree in marketing. I have worked for my mom for as long as I can remember.” ~ Dawn
“I am the mother of five and a sibling to ten. I have been part of Laura’s team for more than ten years. During that time, our office has become a second family. I enjoy the opportunity to talk with the many interesting women who walk through our door.” ~ Rose
